What this is

Project Mindset is an educational, personal-development tool built around a reflection game. It helps you notice how your thinking, feelings, and stress responses connect.

It does not diagnose, treat, or cure PTSD or any condition, and it does not measure or change your brain. The science notes explain the published research behind each idea; they are not claims about what the app does to you.

Fear-based and faith-based thinking are a plain-language reflection framework, not clinical categories. Faith means whatever it means to you. Religion is never required.

The AI mentor

The mentor is a fictional, Special Operations-inspired AI character. He is not a veteran, a licensed therapist, or an emergency responder, and he has no service history.

He only reads your map when you turn on "Let the mentor see my map". He can only see your own data. He cannot change or delete anything you wrote.

Mentor conversations are processed by an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway. They are not used to train models by this app.

The mentor cannot see emergencies, call anyone, or send help.

Audio

Play My Journey uses your browser's built-in voice, so your writing is read aloud on your device and not sent to a speech service. Nothing plays automatically and no audio is recorded or stored.

Your data

Your walks, writing, beliefs, and commitments are stored in an encrypted Postgres database (Neon), sent over HTTPS, and tied to a private, random ID on this device. Nothing is public or shared.

There are no accounts yet, so your data stays with this browser. Clearing cookies disconnects it.

You can download or permanently delete everything at any time below. We keep data until you delete it.
