Section 2
Head row: The Mind
From the Mission MapYour Head row is your thinking: the stories you tell yourself about what's happening, what it means, and what's coming next. Thoughts feel like facts. They aren't. They're intel reports, and some of your sources are compromised.
Faith-based thinking looks for possibility, trusts there's a way through, and keeps your options open.
At the centerline your mind sees the full picture: what's real, what's yours to handle, and what your next move is.
Fear-based thinking scans for threat, expects the worst, and narrows your options until control looks like the only answer.
Section 3
Heart row: The Heart
From the Mission MapYour Heart row is your emotions and your connection to other people. Service trained many of you to put feelings in a box so you could function. The box got you home. Now it's keeping people out.
Faith-based feeling lets people in: it believes, trusts, and cares, including for yourself.
At the centerline your heart holds compassion: you can feel for others and for yourself without getting swept away.
Fear-based feeling armors up: it withdraws, numbs out, and pushes people away before they can hurt you.
Section 4
Gut row: The Gut
From the Mission MapYour Gut row is your body and nervous system: the alarm that decides fight, flight, or freeze before your mind catches up. After combat that alarm often stays on. That isn't a character flaw. It's a system trained for war that never got the order to stand down.
Faith in the body is energy and flow: feeling alive without needing a threat to get there.
At the centerline your body is committed: steady, ready to act, able to rest. Regulated, not braced.
Fear in the body is fight-or-flight: bracing, rage, stress, hypervigilance, never fully resting.
Section 5
The five columns
From the Mission MapWide Open (Faith-based): Total freedom. Everything feels possible. Pure faith-based energy, with no brakes. Healthy in short bursts; without a center it scatters, overcommits, or becomes a way to escape what hurts.
Moving (Faith-based): Faith in action. You're trusting, adapting, and moving forward. This is the healthiest side of the open half: open, but still connected to reality.
Centerline (Centerline): Balance. Not open, not locked. You respond instead of react. Every row has a centerline square, and the whole game is learning to find your way back here.
Guarded (Fear-based): Doubt. Fear is starting to steer. You're bracing, holding back, shutting options down. It's a warning light, not a verdict.
Locked Down (Fear-based): Rules. Fear has full control. Rigid thinking, cut-off feeling, fight-or-flight. It's built to keep you alive in danger, and it can't tell home from a war zone.
